i was reading "picture of dorian gray"
which is, by the way, an extremely good book
for the artist and the lover of art alike,
and in the foreward was this quote.
it might take a couple of reads to understand
but it really captures a timeless thought
and shows the sacrifice of artists
as well as the passion they have for their work. =]
